1. Visit mini.acadex.co: Open your web browser and go to mini.acadex.co.
2. Expand the Right Tab Bar: On the right side of the page, hover over the tab bar to expand it.
3. Find and Click the User Icon: Look for the user icon and click on it to prompt the login page.
Don’t Have an Account?
• Sign Up: If you don’t have an account, click on the sign-up option at the bottom of the login page.
• Choose a Package: Note that creating an account does not mean you automatically have a free account. You will be prompted to choose a package to truly unlock the potential of Acadex Mini.
Home Screen Overview:
1. System Menu Tabs: On your home screen, the system menu tabs are located on the left. These tabs are minimized to provide you with maximum screen real estate.
2. Profile and Description: On the right side, you will find your profile picture and a brief description.
3. Groups: The center of the home screen displays your Groups, which are your ‘folders’ where papers are graded according to the settings and rubric set by the teacher.
Creating Groups:
1. Locate the Plus Icon: Below the “Groups” title, click the plus icon to create a new group.
2. Submit Group Information: Note that groups are not fully created until you click “Submit” after entering the group editing information.
Viewing Papers Within Groups:
1. View Details: To view the papers within a group, click the button labeled “View Details.” This will take you to the specific group’s papers, including all uploaded and graded papers.
When you create a group, you will be prompted to fill out five forms:
1. Group Title: Enter the name of the group.
2. Grading Criteria/Rubric: Paste your rubric in its entirety, and Sydney will understand it through context processing.
3. Grade Level: Select the grade level for this group of papers. Acadex Mini currently supports:
• Below High School
• High School Freshman
• High School Sophomore
• High School Junior
• High School Senior
• College levels
4. Grade Type: Choose the grading style:
• Nice Grading: Sydney will be more lenient.
• Normal Grading: Sydney will grade as you typically would.
• Harsh Grading: Sydney will be more strict.
5. Assignment Points: Enter the total points each assignment is worth. Sydney will calculate grades accordingly.
1. Access Group Details: Click “View Details” within the group you intend to upload papers to.
2. Toggle Upload Mode: On the upper right-hand side, above your profile picture, you’ll find a “Show Upload” toggle. Toggle it on to access the uploader, and toggle it off to return to your group view.
3. Upload Files: The uploader will indicate if your files have been successfully uploaded. You can view these files within your group before grading.
Note: The uploader can handle up to 20 files at a time.
New Features: The group view now includes Grade and Regrade options located below your profile picture within the group. Additionally, Acadex Mini has a new filter system, making it easier for teachers to find exactly what they are looking for.
1. Grade All Papers:
• Click the button labeled “Grade All” below your profile view.
• Acadex Mini will grade the entire group within mere seconds.
2. Handling Ungraded Papers:
• If some files are not graded (labeled 0/(your score here)), select those specific files.
• Click “Grade Checked,” located right under “Grade All,” so that Acadex Mini will ONLY grade the selected files.
3. Regrading Papers:
• To regrade papers, select the ones you wish to regrade.
• Click “Grade Checked” to initiate the regrading process for the selected papers.

• Click the button labeled “View” on the individual paper that you wish to review.
• A pop-up window will appear, displaying the following:
2. Pop-Up Window Contents:
• Grade: The grade for the paper will be shown at the top.
• Sydney’s Feedback: This section will include Sydney’s feedback, integrated with your personalized comments.
• Student’s Paper: The student’s paper will be displayed on the right-hand side.
1. Access Feedback Editor:
• On the left menu, click on “Feedback Editor.”
• You will be prompted to provide your feedback preferences, which Sydney will use to give personalized feedback on each graded paper.

• In older versions of Acadex Mini, this feature was called “Rubric” with a settings icon.
• Thanks to your feedback, WT has updated the terminology to “Feedback Editor” for better clarity and ease of use.
